Any thoughts about whether you want the newsletter to handle individual vid announcements? I can imagine it having the potential to overwhelm the newsletter, particularly post-Festivids or post-convention vidshow, but it's also something that'd be useful to have in one place. Maybe a separate periodic edition that just consists of all the recent vid announcements people tell you about of the last month/two months/whatever?

Hi! I didn't realise people were going to find this so fast so I am still working on guidelines.

That goes in to more detail about what content will be accepted under 3#. I actually had a note in the profile mentioning what I won't be accepting but I think I accidentally deleted it :/

But in short, I won't be accepting individual vid announcements for the very reason you mentioned. It's going to be too overwhelming. I wasn't going to even accept rec lists for the same reason.

If I did accept individual vid announcements, it would be a periodic edition like you say or even a separate community all together.

In the first issue I am going to be asking people a couple of questions about things, but I will raise the question of whether people would be interested in periodic vid announcements as you mentioned.

This is very cool, thank you for doing it! I do hope there can also be a corollary with announcements of newly posted vids- I have real trouble finding those outside of fests and cons these days, and I would love to have something centralized. But I definitely understand that that could get overwhelming to mod!

I am going to ask people in the first issue if this is something people want and if so, then I probably will set it up. It shouldn't actually be too overwhelming as people would submit their announcement through the form and then I can generate the post HTML through that. So all in all, very doable!
